Early 80 alternator cable adapter.

I'm toying with the idea of swapping out my early round plug 80amp 80 series alternator for a later oval plug 120amp 100 series one.

I have been told there is a short adapter cable available that will convert the round plug on the wiring harness to the oval connector on the 100 alternator.... problem is I can't fine one anywhere.
Anyone have any ideas where I can find one?

That won't fit. The early round plugs on the 80's are 3 pin.... that one is a 4 pin and it's square.

Oh ok, I'm not sure what they exactly look like. The description is 3 pin to 4 pin, for the type of alternator upgrade your wanting to do.

Turns out another colleague is there too, and staying for longer.

So we should be able to get the cables. Just have to wait a couple weeks till he's back in the uk.

Hi Paul, I've just put a 100 series alternator on my 80, I think you need the adjuster bracket as well.
