Editing profile and signature

This is the hardest thing I've tried to do online today,can anyone tell me how I edit my profile and signature?

Log in, then tap your ID on the right of the top banner. You should be presented with a list of info you can edit.
Nothing to it really.

I think the sticking point is that you have to do it from a laptop browser rather than a phone browser but as with all these things I could be completely wrong.
