[ELC0] Fasteners - Metric fine threads

The Japanese motor industry commonly uses what is called "metric fine thread".
The pitch of metric fine threads are different to the more common, "coarse" threads. For instance a 10mm diameter bolt in fine would have a 1.25mm pitch, in coarse it is 1.5mm

It is often very common for japanese bolts to have a smaller hexagon size than a comparitive "non - jap" bolt.
Fastener stockists rarely keep metric fine on the shelf. You may have to bulk order or search carefully on the net, try Ebay it is amazing what can be found there.
Alternatively go to a scrapyard and raid all the Jap vehicles for as many nuts and bolts as possible.

Paskins in Brierly Hill, Dudley, have a good stock of metric fine. Every
time I've needed a bolt they've had them. Have you checked to see how
much Toyota want though, they might not be too expensive ...
