Ok guys this is the first DIY attempt on my 100 series so I thought I would
start with something "relatively" safe and won't take the car off road if I
screw up! The automatic antenna does not go up or down when you switch the
radio on/off or if you use the manual switch on the dashboard, no noise from
the motor. I have had the 100 series about 3 months now and the lack of
Radio is driving me nuts!
Where do I start? Is there a fuse I can check or do I get under the wing and
check for loose connections etc and then suspect the worst i.e. dead motor.
I have tried to pull the aerial up with my fingers so I can at least get
some radio until I get it working but I couldn't get it up (Story of my life
but lets not go there!). Would it be ok to use some "moderate" force using a
pair of pliers?
Please excuse the mundane nature of my question, although I more or less
understand what's going on in my cars I don't do a lot of DIY which I am
hoping to change slowly.
Julian> I haven't forgotten about your pictures, I finally managed to get
home in daylight and then realised the batteries were flat in the digital
camera! Will have some for you tomorrow/Saturday.
TIA
