Embed a google map?

Is it possible to embed a google map on a post in the forum ?

I have an embed code starting with <iframe width="425" etc but that doesnt work when i preview my post

Is it possible?

HTML is not rendered in the forum for many reasons. However, getting GM to work could be pretty nifty. I'll have a look to see if there is a mod for this.

Does the map have to be active? Or can you just post a screen shot instead?

Ignore it, that didn't work. Crispin, there is supposed to be a way of adding map functionality to the BB codes. Will see if I can nail it down a bit more.

Yup, I found a way to get it working a couple weeks ago. Not working enough to put on here yet though. I'm away for the rest of the week but next week I plan to get it working properly.

Not sure if it will support a trip which is 22k miles long with markers placed every second before you ask

Well if and when you get it working feel free to edit the link. Don't worry no GPS tracking as I would of needed to have the laptop running all the time, a bit impractical...

And I messed up with the distance, its only 22k kms...
