Does my ericcson ga 628 from 1999 have a built in back up battery to retain the phone settings for when the main battery is disconnected? I have taken it apart and cannot see a back up. How does it retain the settings then? Is there a way without a battery?

Presumably it contains some kind of flash memory that is set/changed (memory bits are set) when power is applied and that retains those settings (memory bit settings not changed) when power is removed - similar to usb sticks, camera sd cards etc

Same colour too Graham ! And I also have a yellow and a green one as well. Built LIKE bricks and totally reliable. Came out in 1995 same year as my landcruiser 80 when men were men and women were men too.
