Extreme Mods

I like the number plate on that Dave what does it stand for - daft 6 wheel 2wd

No idea mate? Still, I like to see some innovation. I do remember seeing a milk float at 'The Pod' years back.

IIRC it had a supercharged V8? So I never underestimate clever people with bored hands.

regards

Dave

It's a bit odd that it appears to be a RHD, most Brits would be more careful so far from home on tour.

Theres plenty of 80s and 100's getting air in Dubai & Qatar, but usually they're blown petrols pulling 4,00o revs.

Another interesting Mod the Aussies are so enthusiastic about. :dizzy:

I worked at LR Solihull from 97 to 80 and they had a prototype 6 wheeler running around the factory in the days when all RR's were 2 door.

Carmichael's did all the special bodies, ambulances and fire tenders and the like, and Moteverdi in Italy used to install the dash mounted A/C units and convert the 2 doors to 4 doors and leather seats for the early Vogue's.

It was ages before a 4 door was produced as a build at Solihull.

The old 2-door Classic (which was the only production-line model in my day) was prone to leaning.

Just getting in one without a passenger, set them on a cant. Still, like you say Rich, you could spin the wheels on full lock round the car park and although you felt like it was about to break off, they never did!

There's a place in my heart for the old RR classic, it was a wonder machine of its time, now it's just got swallowed up with all the other SUVs and it doesn't fair well with any of them.

It's quite sad IMO.
