Field Monitor

Hi Guys new here so please be gentle lol!!

I have two 1996 Prados, one has just been written off beleive or not by a Volkswagen Polo and the other has Cracked head!! so im swapping the engines the 1st Prado has 35000 miles less and is a great engine! so im stripping all the parts off this to put on the second one.
This car didnt have the field monitor fitted so im installing the one from the 1st car, and i found the connection under the dash connect it up and lights compass and work fine but not the temperature or speed any ideas if i need some other connection to make it work properly?????

Hi and welcome,for the temp sensor it's below the n/s/f headlight,if you go from under your front bumper its fastened to the front panel white clip and black sensor buddy.

Thanks Sag should it be connected already or do i need to make connection??

You will have to unclip it off your other motor and the wire and plug are already fitted standard so just needs plugging in to your new motor.
