Fire extinguishers

As has been mentioned disconnecting the battery (batteries) is always a priority and i know that without a spanner mine are not coming off in a hurry. I always planned, but have never installed, isolating switches. Has anyone else?

After my solenoid fire I planned exactly that. Even bought two. Never fitted them.

There are things like these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261818853135 which could perform the same purpose I suppose. Or I have seen Anderson connectors fitted. Anything open like this could arc if disconnected under short circuit conditions of course. Proper battery isolator are likely to be better/ safer at disconnecting a short circuit.
