First post - and my first Toyota.

Hi all,
I've just bought a 1989 HJ60, which may or may not replace my
Defender, but will be used for a Sahara project this coming winter.
Unfortunately it didn't come with a spare tyre, so wondering if
anybody has one lying around that they would like to get rid of? I
need a 15" 6 stud rim with a 10.50 x R15 tyre (it has a motley
collection of Runway Enduros & BFG all terrain so anything that goes
round in that shape would be fine). I'm in London if postage is out
of the question.
Further on down the line, if the film funding gods smile on me, I'd
like to put Michelin 7.50 x 16's on (either XZL or XZY) but not
knowing anything about Toyota's I have no clue what the original rims
would have been on the HJ60 - can you get simple old fashioned steel
rims for it?
Any suggestions and help welcomed...
Cheers, Darrin

Darrin,
Most UK Japanese 4X4's run on alloys, steel rims are around, I notice the
commercial Nissan Navara's particularly use them, they are 6 stud, don't
know what the offset is. Might be worth looking on ebay.
I have a spare rim but it's very rough and the rubber is useless. Set of
XZL's will cost you a bit, nice tires though.
