Welcome to the forum Could you give us a little more information about your problem? At what RPM does it happen? How many miles does it have on it and is it serviced regularly. The more information we have the better the advice you will get.
thanks for your response ,the flat spot is most prominent from cold, as l pull away at about 10mph push the throttle down and the very big flat spot occurs later on when it is warmed up the flat spot is not as bad and occurs at higher speed
As you have not provided us details of RPM I will assume you have an auto. With no detailed knowledge on the 120 I can't give you much advice. Generally if its a diesel then I would start with with the basics, filters (fuel and air). After that it could be the gearbox maybe or something else to do with these fancy new common rail engines... and that's all I can tell you. Im sure someone with 120 specific knowledge will help you soon.
I assume you're also using the power heat facility from cold? If not you probably should - and also check the connectors to the diesel pre-heater on the fuel filter.
