Hi Guys
I went to my Toy dealer to get a spare fuel tank filter and guess what he could not find it on his system at all, so does any one know if ther is a part no or where else to get one, although I know its a Toy part. Funny old world.
Roman I had a look at the fuel filter assembily and ther are two screws, two nuts, two pipes and one electic cable. What do I undo to change the filter, does it screw on like the engine oil filter does.

r,
John,
You undo the nuts, disconnect the pipes and electrical connector,
remove the whole assembly frorm the vehicle and take it to the
workshop. Holding the housing carefully in a vise you unscrew the
filter and fit a new one. Remember to lubricate the lip seal with
fuel. Use your hands to screw on the new filter - not the wrench.
Once the filter is replaced and the assembly refitted, you should pump
for a minute or so the black button on top of the housing to prime the
pump (until positive reaction can be felt). As you turn the ignition
on, press the pedal all way down and then hold it at 2500 - 3000 rpm
for ca 10-15 sec. to let the lift pump build up circulation pressure.

Hi John,
You shouldn't need to replace the filter in the tank - it is only a
fine plastic mesh filter that you can clip off and then clean using
something like a soft paint brush and some diesel.

Hi Julian
When I was taking the filter out of the tank it came apart in two pieces
and when I cleaned it of all the diesel the two parts that should go
together looked as though they were glued together. So I glued them back
together with super glue and it as one again but I am worried about the glue
deteriorating over time. I know im saying this even though I know it was
already glued. I would prefare to get a new one if I can and at least have
it as a spare.
