In my experience the fading is due to cheap pads. Or soft light duty type pads. I always try to fit Mintex, as for a Land Rovers (or anything big) they seem just right. I tried some cheap pads once and the bite was great.... for about 2 seconds! Then they faded very easily. Whereas racing pads (which are a much harder compound) only work when they are hot.
Cheers,
Matt

Braking is better, but that might just be the new pads.
Also getting reasonably quick fade after 2-3 roundabouts in quick succession, but suspect that they are still bedding in.
Having said that my disks are quite worn, particularly at the rear.
If the fading doesn't improve over the next 1000 miles I will look at upgrading the disks to the DBA vented and slotted disks.
My policy at the moment is to upgrade things as and when they need replacing.
Cheers,
Julian
