I just picked up a 97 40th anniversary Land Cruiser for my daughter's first car. It was my brother-in-law's daily driver for several years, but has been sitting in his garage for the last 9 months. It has about 191,000 miles. Everything is pretty standard except for an aftermarket stereo/subwoofer. The inside is in fair shape with some pretty funky dog smell (going to get it detailed). The airbag light is on (will get it checked out this week). The front seats don't adjust, but the driver side is fine for my daughter and the passenger is adjusted all the way back.
It runs and handles great. He said it drinks a quart of oil every 5K miles, but has done that for the last 100K miles without getting worse.
I paid $1500, so I think it was a good deal.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks.

a quart of oil (about 1 liter) seems excessive but for 1500 dollars it seems fairly cheap - not sure about a landcruiser for a first car though
