Good value on board air system?

Cheers Chris, that gives a pretty good idea.

I would add though that I think it's hideously expensive. You could do a couple of VIAIRs and a tank cheaper, but, BUT this doesn't take into account time and effort. For me this was a perfect space, make a plate, bolt in, drop pump in, wire and forget. If I'd gone down the route I have before then there'd have been considerably more work, I know. Sometimes you have to look at the larger picture. What could I be doing if I wasn't wiring up some fancy twin pump system.

I can't find the thread I posted about it but from memory I said I got it from the USA from this seller http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ARB-ON-BO...X4-OFF-ROAD-/281619031423?hash=item4191cd657f it looks like his prices have risen a bit, for about £400ish, after paying shipping and import duties it worked out to round about £60 less then buying it in the UK.
After removing the heater it will fit nicely under the drivers seat with slight fettling to the floor with a tapping stick.
I have a 2:5 gall tank behind the passenger seat which IIRC the compressor fills in 1:5 mins (I can't check at the mo because I have the electrics disconnected for something else)
It hasn't been used a great deal but when it's been needed it's the dogs danglys

I forgot to mention the ARB twin compressor has a 100% duty cycle, can be left running for as long as needed.

At 6.16 CFM or 174 LPM the ARB at up to 150 psi AND 100% duty cycle, this is a serious pump set for the money. Even at £400 it's difficult to find a pump set from Viair that comes close.

Perfect example of getting what you pay for by the looks of it.

im in the middle of mounting my t max adventurer under the bonnet. for the money I think its a cracking pump.

Ive got the t max twin cylinder compressor, had it a few years now and works well. Its mounted in the boot and has re seated a 35" tyre in the past, took some doing but it went back on.

I would imagine that Durex make a cover that will fit your outlet Chris...

Dave, take a look here if you haven't already: http://www.mattsavage.com/acatalog/compressors.html :)

Thanks for that Mike, Gary had recommended the same supplier but at the time the site was down. I have a little time now between the swimming pool upstairs 'auto fill' having a hissy fit and flooding the block electrics. No power at home for a few days, popped back today to get some more clothes and I broke the key in the door lock! Then locked my own keys in the van..........going to bottle up some of this good luck and send it to people..............................I don't like!

Off to look at the MS site as it is all up and running, the thread has generated some good info,

many thanks

regards

Dave
