As some may know i am a member on a few sites and actualy also run a Jeep specific club

We are running an event that will be a little different and special and thought given the time I spend on here we would open up 5 available slots (at this time, maybe more maybe less dependant on sign ups) for anyone that wanted to attend.

The event will take place at Hawkstone Follies and the date is the weekend of the 29/30 September .

Locations is right in the heart of Hawkstone Park, Weston-under-Redcastle, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY4 5UY, UK

For those who have not been before this is quite a special site. This is not your usual pay and play mud pit, the navigable off road tracks at Hawkstone wind their way in and out of the beautiful Hawkstone Follies. This massive parkland site has three large driveable areas. The site has terrain for all types of vehicles, from standard to modified.

We have booked sole use of the site for the Saturday and Sunday. Camping is available for the Friday and Saturday night. Driving will only be allowed Saturday and Sunday.

The basic plan is as follows 8)

Friday: Arrive set up, pitch camp and socialise

Saturday: Explore the site at your leisure or try our non competitive, non damaging punch hunt. For the Kids and the big kids amongst you, why not try Rocky’s Fox hunt (we tried to explain the legalities, but he said it was his gig and to back off). The RnR team would like to apologise in advance for any offence caused by Rocky’s antics. At 6pm the site will close for driving.

Evening Barbecue (vegetarian and carnivore) and social.

Sunday: You are free to explore, try the punch or the Fox hunt. At 4pm the site will close for driving.

Driver briefings will be held on both days to ensure everyone understands how to stay safe and enjoy the site.

The event will be marshalled for your convenience and safety. It's a large site and we want to make sure you all have a good time and go home in one piece.

Camping will be available and the site has proper toilets. If your partner or kids don’t normally come along, check out the link above. Hawkstone Follies are a great place to explore. The Hotel would be a perfect way to treat your better half!

We will have a gazebo up for the Saturday night for the barbecue in case of rain. Places will be limited and booked on a first come first paid basis.

Weekend drive (Sat and Sunday) £30
One day drive, £20
Camping per tent £5, Saturday Barbecue £5

Payment will be required by the end of July to confirm your place, plenty of time to save up those hard earned pennies! (1st paid 1st booked on). Please post on this thread if you wish to attend, for what days and if you want the barbecue.

ive never been to hawstone 4x4ing before, even though its only 20mins up the road from me. :)

the thing that has always put me off, is ive heard its very tame and that theres not any extreme/challenging bits.

not been myself either Ben but from what I am told theres something there for everyone, I dont think its a challenge event place thats for sure its a general offroad site and i expect you can make it tricky if you want to ;)

The youtube links show plenty of variety

am i right in thinking this has now been cancelled? :?
