I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question but I have bought one of these brackets, it will be fitted on the opposite side to the one in the picture. It bolts onto the bracket that holds the rubber bung that the tailgate closes onto.
What I would like to know is what would be the best way of getting a cable to it and keeping it watertight? I'm not too keen on just threading it out of the door as it may get squashed on opening and closing. I will be putting an extra reversing lamp on there.

When I fit them I use a rubber grommet with a bit of silicone and a P clip just to hold the wire in place, works a treat as a reverse light

I read before you could route the wire from the top of the rear light cluster if you didn't want to drill a hole.

That is something I was considering, when I come to fit it I'll check that.

Old post but does anyone know anywhere in the UK to get these. They're no longer on the west coast eBay shop?
