HDJ101 suspension fluid

Use only Toyota (or Lexus) original AHC fluid.
I think it is some kind of hydraulic fluid, but don't try any
alternatives. The suspension system is made for a particular fluid, which
is good for all the valves, seals, membranes, etc.
Not cheap to go wrong on the AHC fluid.!

Never used these people, found them when I did a search but they didn't have
any LC parts, they do have AHC fluid - from a Toyota Soarer, assume its the
same. Toyota dealer sounds the best bet.

Just checked the manual (FSM), and the AHC fluid can.
Manual says "Use Toyota AHC fluid or equivalent". Doesn't say what is equivalent though. Toyota part no is 08886-01805, and it's a 2.5 litre metal can. Can't find any info on what kind of oil it is, mineral or synthetic. If you have any info on this, it would be most welcome.
In addition to the Pentosin CHF 7.1, there is the CHF 11S which is a synthetic fluid, and the two should never be mixed. So if going with Pentosin, you should be 110 % certain of mineral vs synthetic.
The Toyota fluid is about 120 US$ for the 2.5 l here.
5 years ago, when in a similar situation as you, in the middle east, without a supplier of AHC fluid; the dealer back home told me by telephone to use brake fluid for topping up. Same thing they said. Took 3 years for that fluid to work it's way down to the spheres and destroy the membranes. Expensive.

Sorry, that was x10 wrong. 12 $ is what I meant, although I think that
was w/o the vat, so 15 $ it is.
