Not that I'm in the market for another 80, but I emailed this seller as to where he was in West London, and who was it that "professionally prepared the truck for overland travel" the answer I got was, We are in Hanwell, West London. The car was modified by OEC International http://www.oecinternational.com/ may help someone :think:


And just to offer some more info on the company who did the work .....

they have their head office/workshops just down the road from where i live. ...and Yes ... oec international are very very good at what they do

I agree, OEC International are very helpful always happy to advise as well and have lots of contacts, I have used them in the past and I fully expect to be using them again in the future.
 
if you wana try a manual 80 you can have ago in my 80 to see if you like a manual
 
Don't get too hung up on the locking diffs, if you are only interested in overlanding.

The JDM 80 mainly had LSDs in the back as opposed to being open which helps a fair bit - Paul Blackburn of One Life Adventures regularly runs trips into N. Africa as well as green lanes in the UK in his JDM 80 series with the LSD in the back and never has any problems and regularly tows out LRs.

The key thing is just make sure you use the correct oil - LSD oil is specially formulated and running normal diff oil will kill the bearings pretty quickly.
 
Oakleigh garage have bought the expedition prepared vehicle and doubled the price . Its on Ebay.
