Hi Bill,
Welcome to ELCO, I know Julian welcomes anyone (ELCO stands for European
Land Cruiser Owners but there are people on the list from most parts of the
world) and as another 40 series owner the more the better but we are in the
minority I am afraid.
I am sure Julian won't mind me pointing you at the US based LCML (Land
Cruiser Mailing List) although that is getting very quiet or also US based
the web forum IH8MUD.ORG which has a busy 40 series section, although you
probably know of those?
Hope you enjoy ELCO

Hi Bill,
Welcome to the list.
It looks like you may have a virus/infection on your computer that is
sending spam out from your computer. I suggest that you should find a
local computer guy/gal to help you clean your system and certainly for
the time being I would be inclined to try to avoid doing any on line
banking or purchasing on the web until the system has been cleaned.
As a starting point I would be inclined to use the online virus scanner
at http://housecall.trendmicro.com and I would also look into
downloading and installing Spybot at http://www.safer-networking.org.

Hi Bill,
Make sure Bit Defender is up to date and Scan your PC. Do as Julian
suggests and install Spybot. (www.spybot.info)
Spybot may well solve the problem but if it doesn't, the best, quickest
and guaranteed solution to remove Virus/Spyware from your PC - is to
re-install Windows using any recovery media you have. Back-up your
important Data/docs/pics first. If you don't have recovery media or are
unsure what to do I'm happy to offer advice. I have a PC
Hardware/Repair store and removing Virus infections is a daily chore :)
