Will be looking to bring back my 80 from Oz and maybe a couple of others.

Question is, if the vehicle is modified will it get though the inspections for use in the UK? Do all vehicles go through SVA?

I will be adding accessories to the 80 which i can take off, but will things like the suspension lift cause problems, i know we can do nearly what we like after the fact but do the powers that be not like the other type of changes.

Off topic but if you do this and have the space I would love a longranger tank if you think you can help.

Oh, well ahead of you there ;-)

The plan is a container or two full of vehicles and accessories.

My understanding is that all vehicles have to go through SVA if they are to be registered and driven on public roads. If you are going to trailer it about or store it then not required.

When you say modified what do you mean??

So long as it adheres to UK emissions and has the appropriate light pattern along with a miles per hour speedo and in general would pass an MOT then you should be good to go.

I have taken a number of vehicles to SVA just outside of Heathrow.

Paul, how long till you are coming back? from what I have read they (eurocrats) are trying to change sva testing for imported cars
I believe the MSA has a current epetition running about it

If the vehicle is over 10 years old you wont need SVA, just an MOT.
