Gents,

I've added a winch and steel bumper to my truck with medium Ironman suspension kit.

After fitting the above I've noticed that the front dropped about a inch.

Should I upgrade to the heavy duty springs or add spacers?

The truck will be fully packed for a overland journey.

Need advice please?

Spacers

Pros: Inexpensive, gives a decent amount of lift,
Cons: Coil spacers can stiffen the ride and prematurely sag the springs. Top plate spacers can over extended shocks, CV, and ball joints

You should upgrade to HD Ironman springs. More expensive but is the best you can do.

Cheers

I would replace the springs.
They don't cost a fortune, and just keep the shocks that you have on now.

I think with spaces you are hiding the problem, in the fact that the current springs are being compressed more than you would like them to be.

I would get any other type of hd spring that fits. I'll never spend money on Ironman coils again (see my post on Ironman suspension).

I have a set of Belton offroad heavy duty 2 inch lift springs for an oil burner sat int he garage doing nothing, they were too rigid for my sweet lightweight petrol, you are welcome to try them if you want Daniel

I have had Iron man 50mm on mine for a few years now, the ride is great.
