Lubo,
The Denso 096000-6420 injection pump is very similar to another Bosch
pump. There are a few small differences, though. One of them is that
the key on the drive shaft is off by a few degrees. That's enough to
completely mess up injection timing. Some diesel workshops assume it's
the same pump and can easily make that mistake. The engine runs rough,
power drops, temps go up, yet finding the cause of the problem may be
very difficult. You just assume the pump has been rebuilt by a
specialist so there must be something else to blame. Been there, done
that ...

agree with you but...
I was at 'Bosch' specialist and ask for Denso: he never ever heard of
it and we have only two 'special' diesel workshops in Oslo-hehehe -
the land of plenty somewhere up there.
But thank you for the info-now I know the part number. I don't
believe I have trouble with it though-have trouble with the turbo-as
said from Toy 'specialist' thou the yellow light doesn't blink.
Cheers

Hi guys
do you know which part number has IP for the 1HD-FT?
Can be that one: 22100-17880 and if so who has 22100-12170
cheers

Hi guys
after careful reading the post of Christopher it came a thought to me:
can we put that electrically controlled injection pump to our 1HD-FT and will it have some effect?

Wouldn't it require extra instrumentation around the engine to pick up
air-flow, throttle position, etc; and an ECU to deal with this
information & generate instructions, before one could fit the pump?

It sounds horribly expensive and difficult to me, but maybe someone else
knows better.

Hi Lubomir,
The electronically controlled injection pump relies on a number of
sensors and processing chip to control it - at the end of the day I
wouldn't even consider it - you would have to do too many mods to the
engine to get it to work, an engine swap would be easier, but still not
the best route financially to get imporved performance/economy.

Ok you convinced me. the answer with few words is: buy LC100 instead of
those expensive experiments...
but I don't like how they look :-((((((((((
