If you fancy importing a 40,60,70 or 80 series, or any other model for that matter, this place might be worth a look, ot, you could just make yourself depressed having a look at what you can't afford!!

I could comfortably spend a sizeable part of my future lottery win there!!

You beat me to it Ed!

Out of all the 70's on there thats the one I'd have picked! :icon-cool:

I would like a 74 i think it would be the perfect size for a all round vehicle. i will have one one day. i just dont like the little silly mirrors on the jap stuff.

I reckon if you tried hard enough you could get it imported into Aus... wouldn't be cheap, but I think it's doable via one of the importers. Basically it could come in via the special vehicle list; because it's not available in that year in Australia, with that engine, it might be doable...

I have seen them for sale in aus before not sure with which engine though.

We had an FJ73, and you could get a BJ73. 74's are a bit of a funny one; I've not worked out if they were imports or not, but they generally are the BJ74 rather than FJ74, and certainly no HJ74's.

I imported a car from Japan a few years ago, before the exchange rate went bad. I would do it again as it was fairly simple process. I paid a company to deliver the car to the boat and I arranged everything else, import clearance, getting the car legal and registering it etc.

If those prices are delivered to uk all fees paid etc then they are ok, but if shipping, duty etc is on top they are mighty expensive.

Better to buy at jap auction via someone like bonsai cars.

Caveat emptor though, its a shark filled business !
