After nearly twenty years of self employment I have ended up with 4 part time jobs.
Today I have an interview for a full time position.
Fingers crossed !
If I get it, goodbye excessively long hours, hello weekends, goodbye temporary contracts and hello pension contributions.

Midday today

:handgestures-fingerscrossed: Good luck and hope it all goes well.

Same from me, hope you do well.

All the best - holding thumbs for you!

Only Saffers will get that....

Cheers guys.
The interview was far too easy.
It went well but I suspect it's a done deal with promotion from within.

Not long to wait, references are already in and the decision is being made today from a shortlist of 3.
So should hear shortly.

Bad luck, Neil - at least you got valuable practice in an interview environment!
Enjoy the pint anyway!

But like you said before, some times they already have some one for the job, maybe a friend of a friend.
Then they just have to go through the rigmarole of "interviewing" when the outcome is already a foregone conclusion.

Not to worry.
Quite often, the best person for the job isn't picked, because the next person up the ladder worries for his job.
So if they get some one "too good", then sooner or later it puts their job in question.
So, get some one you will be a "yes man" or a "known person" some one who is too lower down, to challenge the boss.

Gra.
