Picked up a 1999 Lexus LX470 over the weekend. Quick specs are 240k miles and fairly stock. Hydraulic suspension removed, and has OME 1.5" Kit on it. 285 75 16 KO2's and a Slee Diff drop. Two front seat bases need some work done on them but mechanically she is pretty sound. I'll know more once I dive in. Off the bat, I'm seeing a little weep of power steering oil so need to investigate that.
Got a new muffler on the way as this one is original and rotted. Got a new AISIN fan clutch too as this one is completely locked. Plans are to use it for long trips. The other cruiser (90) gets used more by my dad now so it was time for me to get into something. The 2uz Lump seems a little sluggish compared to the 1KZ. I'll see how it is after fixing the exhaust and fan clutch. Smoother ride than the 90 by a tad though and a little quieter. But damn, I think I got about 250 miles from a 20 US Gallon tank. That will take some getting used to.... Hoping that will improve after the fan clutch and exhaust goes on.
