Kenlowe block heater

Dermot,
If Chris doesn't want it I am very definitely in need of one. No humming
and harring, I know what it is, where it fits and I have a power point 4 ft
from the bonnet. Would like the diesel fired sort but just don't have the
cash.
Cheers
Jon

Jon
I'm definitely interested (albeit ignorant), although I have to concede that your need is probably greater than mine! I too am lucky about power, no problems there.
Dermot - any details?

Good evening Chaps and of course Renate-we all missed you-see how popular
you are!? It's because you are such a breath of fresh air amongst us.
Anyroadup-the Preheater.
Kenlowe's latest model. It consists of two units, combined heater/control
and a lightweight pump.
The heater/controller is 6" Tall by 2" dia and is a very nicely made
machined aluminium canister with anodised (red/blue) plumbing fittings. The
pump is a lightweight highflow unit that offers minimal 'particulate flow
resistance'.
The kit comes with all wiring (spiral wrapped!), waterproof plug/socket,
mounting brackets etc. You just have to decide the fitting position and do a
tidy job!
You run it from a timer and it basically heats the water jacket up to 78c
(ish) and (if you wire it in) runs the climate control to warm-up the
interior. Apart from the comfort (the missus will love you on a really cold
morning!) it is great for motor longevity.
If you have never used one you will soon be a convert. In places like
Canada the supermarkets have power sockets in the carpark!
They don't have the flexibility of diesel-powered unit but they are less
than quarter of the price and do the same job.
I paid ?234:77 and will take ?190 for it, which will help -out with the
Webasto! I am probably too cheap (steady) but you guys would never let me
forget if I tried to sell you a pony! So you want to buy three sir?
Seriously (well not TOO) Anthony emailed me first of the list so I guess I
should give him first crack but Chris is correct when he says Jon is
probably the most needy?
So I will leave it to you chaps to decide.
I'm off to the States on Saturday so I was planning on putting the kit on
eBay before I leave, so hopefully we can sort it before I leave.
Cheers

you asking for it?

Hi all.
Anthony has emailed me of the list and told me I'm a robbing git! Only
joking! He was very polite.
So the unit is still for sale. I'm open to offers. I plan to put it on ebay
before I go to the States tomorrow (if I get time).
Cheers all.
Best Regards
Dermot

Dermot
I don't want to get into an adversarial bidding war with Jon on this list.
I think the best bet is for you to put it on Ebay, give us the title/link to find it easily, then let nature take its course.

Hi Christopher,
I would not suggest that for a minute.
I was thinking that it might save us all some time and may workout cheaper
for someone on the list.
You and Jon could discuss off the list and let me know.
Anyway, as usual My jobs have taken longer than I thought and I won't have
time to stick it on ebay until next week.
I'm back on Wednesday.
Cheers
Dermot Allen
