I have 1996 80 24v, but now looking for something a bit more comfortable for motorway miles with air-con.

Let me guess, 5 spd auto and cheaper tax?

Is the tax cheaper now though after the changes this year?

5speed box, isn't final ratio about the same?

Newer ones have issue with combined HVAC and audio, don't they?

The thing with the 5-sp box is that is is waaayyy smoother than the older 4-sp. And the engine, ECU, IP and nozzles had some changes at the same time as well.

HVAC controls on Navi-screen, yes, a bl00dy nuisance. But there are versions without navi, which has normal buttons for hvac -- just a bit more difficult to find. And there is an Android screen which can fix it for you.
