I had a light weight many years ago.
It was in good condition, but not reliable.
It was the petrol, adn was very thirsty.
It looked great, it was resprayed metallic blue, with white weller wheels.
In the summer I would pull off the door tops, and take the roof off.
Then for a pose, I would lower the front windscreen.
It did look good, I must say.
Sadly no photos, as the ex Mrs, had kept them all.
I would also have another one for the " uniqueness" factor.
Quite reasonable money it made I thought?Assuming it wasn't a complete rot box. Would have liked that for my collection of toys, would of had to swop to coil springs, with disc braked axles though. Engine looked to be a pretty good fit ,I once, many years ago put a 4.0L N/A diesel (2H?) into an early RRC and it was a super tight fit, aswell as being a bit on the heavy side. Wasnt slow by means,I'd imagine that in a lightweight with drums, huge steering wheel with no PAS that borderline scary/dangerous/really cool!?!
