The first post on page 1 of this thread has been updated for this weekends event.

@Karlo, yes you are right. £15 per person, per day. There is camping on a field. The driving aspect is usually a fairly tame "farm track" which meanders around the perimeter of equestrian show jumping areas (couple of interesting bits for the first timer) and then there is a large woodland section which offers everything from tame easy stuff to extreme and everything in between. This is not a pay and play site like a quarry or mainstream public access. This is private land belonging to Tony who likes his Cruisers too. He kindly lets us come as a club twice a year to play and socialise, it's a unique site which we are very fortunate enough to have access to. There will be a punch challenge for those that want to participate or you can just bimble about doing your own thing. For anyone who is coming for the first time, PLEASE PLEASE get out of the car and walk a track before driving it when in the woods, you could find yourself in an extreme section without realising first. The social side in the evening is great for introducing yourself and chatting anything Cruiser related. Doesn't matter if you are totally new to Cruisers or a seasoned Overlander we are all a friendly bunch. Also loads of help and advice when out driving, no testosterone fuelled bravado with our guys. Family friendly too, children most welcome.

@SimonD assuming the field is reasonably dry then you'll have no problems. If for whatever reason you lose traction (it's a grass field and not muddy) then one of the guys will happily attach a tow strop and gently tow you on and off the field.

Slight change of plan. I've put my back out so won't be camping. My old man doesn't fancy attending on his own so if either of us turn up it'll be for a day trip in one vehicle, probably on Saturday..

Good to see everybody and thank you for the warm welcome  i'm just home sat down with a cuppa and remembering i went there to collect something  its still in the back of the truck and it can stay there until tomorrow now , but thanks Grant for getting it to Lincomb .

Thanks for letting me ride shotgun Nick - its just occurred to me we could have done a few laps of the forest when you put the kettle on and it would have been boiled by the time we got back :eusa-whistle: but don't worry the black pudding bacon and eggs butty made up for it so your a good lad never mind what everybody says about you

A brief visit but enough to boost my enthusiasm so i should be prepared next time .
