Lincomb meets 2018

Rex and I are itching to get to this next month, as is my old man with his Collie. I assume it's being held at Tony's place, despite the amended post at the beginning of the thread? As it looks like that is regarding the spring event..

Do I need to get payment to anyone before the date?

Look forward to seeing everyone again. It's been too long.

Jim.
Karl usually walks round collecting wedge

After a weekend at Lincomb, It no doubt need fixing again.. Looks like they get some abuse.
That's entirely up to you!
My abs light came back on the way home from hols so when I was looking around under the rear right wheel I noticed my upper control arm was in 2 pieces..... Toyota no longer make that part so I've taken it to my friendly specialist to make one. Visited yesterday and he pointed out that the broken rear spring probably wasn't helping matters. So it'll be done whenever Devon 4x4 deliver me some new springs.

At least it didn’t wear its way through your brake line Nick.

Apparently it looks like it's been broken for a looooong time. But now i know about it it needs to be fixed! Didn't know I needed a pair of springs too though. $$$$$$

I’ll not hold my breath for the Gullwings then…:violin:

True, and they’re still yours for the time being at least as I’ve not heard from Matey and I think they’re beyond Erik the Viking’s budget.

Got a set of Ironman springs Stu gave me and I've not used Nick. You're welcome to them for the same price if you want to collect. BTW if you set off now you will still miss breakfast lol.

Cheers buddy. New is what I was after. I've no doubt in the guys abilities. I'm waiting for him to finish his Dakar car in the corner of the workshop. Trouble is he's always busy (which is a good thing)

Yeah, I went to my local Toyota garage after amayama sent me the email in the hope that they may have some stock lying around somewhere in the country but they came back saying the same thing and the slightly newer version ending with a 1. So thought it best to chuck it in the garage as soon as possible so that I can make lincomb. (I'd still go but might need the Beemer towing out from a couple of places:)

There are two garages next door to him and whenever I drive past they're standing outside twiddling their thumbs where he has all sorts (4x4s usually) parked all over the place waiting to be done. WUGG was there the other day, that one with the footprints all over it, there's one there that's about to go round uganda for some charity work. A couple of 90's plus other makes. This fills me with confidence that all these other people take their trucks to him, this is what I mean by it's good that he's busy.
Plus he loves my truck!

I have arranged to return early from a business trip in China to attend the Lincomb meet. :)

So there will be at least one 60-series there. Any more planning to come?

@AndycruiserguyLomas apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I know it's been a few weeks/months that you have had been storing my seat plus other smaller bits.
Been focussing on sorting out the body work and with the day jobs and holidays I struggled to find time to make it up to yours. Hope to see you and Maria soon.

Nick.

Sounds like you should be posting his details for the London based folk ;) :)

I have just spoken to Dave, we will be camping in the big field, just through the gate, not the usual field. We are doing a punch challenge and maybe something else. There will be the communal fire pit, so you can bring a bottle & a log or 2 if you wish.
I have no idea of who is coming, if someone wants to start a list....
