Hi,
Just been with one of the larger 4x4 suppliers here in the UK and we
were discussing clubs etc.
The upshot is, when buying parts for your LC, you are more likely to
get a reasonable discount if you mention that you are part of the club.
Not because a deal has been specifically setup with the club, but more
because the suppliers are concerned with people discussing and
comparing prices on lists like this so they are keener to try to be
more competitive.
So I've just got an overall 14% discount for a fridge and various other
items ;-) (I had previously negotiated a 5% discount for ELCO
members).
So, when ever you talk to a supplier, mention the ELCO list name and
push for a discount ;-)
