I note that there are many posts discussing the pros and cons of disabling the front wheel drive on an 80. The conclusion there was that no economy gain was noted.

Hi Roger, apologies for dredging uo an old thread, but can I ask what other parts you fitted to convert to 80 series front flanges as i have electronic hubs on my lj70 which the previous owner managed to break the centre out of, so they need fixing anyway, so as its a full time off roader i could happily fit 80 series flanges as i have no need for it to be 2wd. many thanks Darrell
