LJ78 - what is this part?

Took off the osr chromed bumper - inside it I found a part I dont recognise - it has a live and neutral feed from the light cluster, and a seperate copper wire coil.

Any suggestions?

I am not sure, but by the looks of the rust its from a Land Rover

If the live is from the reverse light, then yes, probably a reversing alarm.

That could make sense - one of the wires was cut - I assumed it was because of the accident, but as they're not legal in the UK for cars then it may be it was snipped to disable it. Will check to see where the live feed comes from.
