Look what we found...

I imagine a narrower tyre will offer more control regardless of badges for your use Clive though maybe not in the Arctic .

I shared your misery while trying to find 35's here in the UK maybe a year ago and idle reading suggests there has been an EU/US/China conflict about tyres going on for decades .

Not sure if the Gripmax tyres i ended up with were born in Russia or China but i'm impressed enough to question whether or not i would opt to pay a premium for Nike over Dunlop in the future .

A delayed Merry Christmas by the way i only arrived home Christmas eve and no internet a week prior .

When i lived in Danmark we had to have two sets of tyres. Summer/Winter and Winter tyres had to be fitted around November (i think).. It was frowned upon if you were caught by Plod with out Winter tyres. And i think your Insurance was void if you were in some kind of Accident in the Snow/ Winter, and still had summer tyres fitted.... So everyone led me to believe!... Makes sense 'Tho'
Same as Germany. We used to get a lot of snow and minus 10 temps in deepest darkest bavaria.
Next to no salt on the roads, even the autobahns had a lovely covering of the white stuff.

Recently fitted Falken WildPeak ATs On the 80.... Very impressed,No idea what they are like in the Snow, 'Coz' we never get any.But a good all round Tyre, Very very Quiet for a chunky Tyre.

@Higgy this one seems to have the snow rating is that what you have?I have been looking for some tyres for the old BJ

And a Merry Christmas to you guys too, Shayne.
Another foot of the white gold fell yesterday, so it’s back on the slopes again today...
I must have a million photos of this Bucegi range, but it’s hard to resist when there’s a blue-sky backdrop...

And the little stream is cute, when we get real snow, maybe 1.5 or 2 meters, the snow covers it over altogether, and the water flows underneath.

It’s a perfect day today ....

I always take loads of pics, but they’re pretty much just more of the same really Higgy, the snow is at the resort, almost by special order as it were, there’s nothing between our house and Azuga, so not much variety...

But if you’re not bored by them, here’s some more...

The first one is some random ‘sno-chic’ just passing as I took the shot - totally unintentional - honest. First thing my wife said when I got home is “WHO’S THAT?”.

Ufff, you know how it is...
