Looking to buy '97 vx landcruiser

Hey folks,
I'm extremely new here jumping in to say hi from Australia and looking for some suggestions.
I'm planning on buying a '97 vx landcruiser V6 petrol with 280,000 Kms and is on sale for $11k aud with an online overhaul in 2024 and fill waterproofing of the electrical and engine components along with some optional extras such as a winch, bull bar, uhf, off-road tires etc . Just wondering what things I need to lookout for on my inspection, problems you've had and any major issues I should look out for. I'm also able to work on the vehicle myself so if stuff needs replacing I will be doing it myself. I'm mainly buying it to be able to go off the road occasionally on the weekends and a few camp trips here and there along with using it for some city driving for work along with my other daily which will still be the primary vehicle for everyday driving.

Is it a 90 or 95 series branded as Prado in Australia or some other Land Cruiser type?

Hey, Gag, how did this go? Are you still looking?
Greatest thing to look at is underneath for unacceptable rust on body and chassis. May not be an issue where you are but always worth looking.
As with all vehicles, some idea on prior maintenance is useful and getting a feel for if it’s been badly messed about with or neglected. Filter brand is a good indication of how well it’s been cared for.
Check everything works as it should. Get it on a loose surface and put it in 4h to see if there’s any bad noises from the diffs or transfer box.
