I measured my disc brakes recently and i compared it to the fsm and they seemed rather thick. IIRC the fsm (rm184e) states that the front discs new should be 26mm but mine were quite a bit thicker. I know the 80 got bigger brakes in 93 (i think) so i would assume that the next fsm (rm315e) would cover it but i cant find anything in there. So what are the new and minimum thickness of the front and rear disc for a 24 valve 80?

The numbers ring a bell and it's been covered before not too long ago but I can't remember if it was TLOC or the ELCO list sorry.

Ask Julian if his newer FSM (RM434E or RM534E can't remember which) has the figures?

from Haynes manual:
later disc front 32(std) - 30mm(min)
all models rear discs: 18(std) - 16mm(min)
