Well, I've just filled up the truck with 80 litres of Morrison's (nee
Safeway's) finest dead dinosaurs, and added approx 120cc of acetone.
The last two tanks returned 27.1 and 27.9 mpg respectively, which is
pretty typical for my truck in winter. I have to say that I'm
sceptical, but open-minded, that adding such a small quantity to such a
large one could make any difference ... so now we await results. I'll
keep you informed.
It has also just struck me that this is probably illegal since there is
no road fuel duty on acetone - I must be diddling Gordon Brown out of
all of 2p or thereabouts!
