Ha ha very True Chas, I work with a touring amateur theatre company here in Ireland, know exactly how you feel.. No glamour, just endless nights of making things like this..

Many people don't realise what an art packing trucks correctly is. I used to work for The Royal Opera House and I'm glad to say we were paid very well, TBH I wasn't a stagehand I was a lighting LX, but we had to help out with all aspects of stagework. Nice looking set, is that Obamas office?
 
Packing a truck is one of my little pet joys in life!! Similarly, I build sets mainly, but I also do logistics and a bit of lighting when required. That's the Oval Office alright, built for a David Mamet's 'November'. Won several awards for it in our national festival tour. I like to think we put out professional standard work, but as amateurs.
 
When i was a scaffolder my mate quit to be a roadie . I couldn't understand why when all it actually meant was he put scaffold up at night instead ?

The answer became obvious when he was sentenced to 4 years for drug offences :doh:
Ooh! we never did things like that, oh no, well not very often anyway. :icon-wink:
