Got myself some new ink done, been waiting for a couple of years to get this done,as we knew wanted 2 kids and I wanted their names in the design I had to wait.
Yesterday spent a few hours at my cousins shop and he got to work

Already had the scorpion on my back and wanted it incorporated into it. Looks nicer now it's been cleaned up a bit, giving the quite vague description and a photo I gave my cousins wife she's done an amazing job with the design.

Lily's name is dark pink and Oscar's name is dark blue too, the red and green in the roses and leaves is showing a bit better now too.

Yeah it was a bit stingy yesterday, much clearer today and not as red.
Was 4 hours yesterday afternoon.

Looking much better now it's not as sore

I've gone through a lot bodily health wise, ops under local anesthetics, lost limbs, accidents, but a tattoo is not for me.

Well to add to my thread about ink I've been having more done.
This one isn't quite finished but thought I'd share the progress so far. It's been over 2 years in the making with designing and laser removal of an old one.
It's not to everyone's taste but means a lot to me.

So the old one first. Had this done when I was 18

Had 10 sessions of laser removal, 6 weeks between each session!! It faded it so it could be covered.

Below is a picture of my father, one of four I have of him and was the inspiration for my new design

So not quite finished as more details to add to fill the gaps and finish the poppy field

Again not everyone's taste but it's a memorial piece that's nearly finished. So far just over 30 hours plus the laser has gone into this plus design hours

As I've missed a bit this shows how much the lasering faded the old Dragon

I'm back in 2 weeks for hopefully the last day session which will fill in the details and touch up any shading

Been having more done on my arm. Still a bit sore and now needs to fully heal then Do any little details and touch ups.
Had quite a few hours.

Admirable ink Gary, not my thing TBH, but it’s a touching tribute to your father...

Now, where’s the Cruiser?

Cheers. It's not everyone's taste mate, my mother in law asked me to cover my arm today. They were at our house so told her can leave any time she wants!! (I was feeling brave)

It's something I've wanted for a while.
It's my cousin (my father's nephew) that did it and his wife who designed it.
I've got good and bad memories but he was at his best when he served.

The cruiser is in the naughty corner and I'm not talking to it lol.

I like that you chose something that will never lose its meaning

I ended up with no tattoo's despite wanting some because tattooist's refused , fit as i was back in the day they said my muscles will distort any picture every time i move my fingers , i'm a middle aged blob now soft enough to tattoo but to soft to have one :violin:  :|

Yeah they'll always have a meaning for me. The little black Dragon that was lasered was just something I wanted when I was 18.
10 sessions of laser removal is more then enough lol.

You can use numbing cream @Shayne to take the edge off, wish I did for certain areas lol.

Numbing cream is cheating @Gary820

I would've happily cheated lol

My cousin did the inner arm part which was obviously pleasant, he then says 'oh I should've asked if you wanted numbing cream' I think he enjoyed that part

I thought about it when I started to get tattooed. I found my arms the easiest place to have done, back was ok, chest was ok but you know your having it done, ribs are the worst I’ve had done yet.
