After years of LandRover ownership I finally decided that their charm no longer make up for their lack of reliability!!
I bought a J80 4.2 this summer and could not believe how much better it is than the Landrover…. So good infact that I have now bought a second one with only 41000 miles.
I am keen to get some upgrades to improve power and towing ability and wonderd if anyone could recommend a good place in Scotland to go to?
I’m thinking of an intercooler, fuel pump Tweek and 3inch exhaust. I also wonder if there are any mods that can be done to the torque converter as it feels like there is quite a loss of power through it.

Welcome Biz...
My god, a 41K 80 series WOW. Got to have a pic of that.
I've been driving 80 series for 25 years and not surprisingly never owned a Green Oval thingy.

Welcome Bizzarini :) I'd be interested in knowing a good place too, living in Argyll, I always have to travel to find a specialist - for anything and everything!

The silver one has 176000km and is a Jap import but mostly rust free and triple locked. The red one has 45000miles and is almost like new. It’s a UK car also triple lockers. There Great!!
