I love this line:-

I witnessed a prang in Randburg where a full taxi (18-20 people?) made a u-turn on Hans Strijdom Dr in front of a quarry type truck. The truck broadsided it and killed a bunch of folk. Turned out the truck could not stop (probably would not have anyway...) because it had MDF (reported in the paper) for front brakes. :shock:

Surely they should know chipboard has a higher friction coefficient... :think:
 
My favourite report is of a 'taxi' with a busted fuel pump, so the driver had a 20 litre plastic bottle wedged in-between the front seats with a syphon hose down to the carb. :shock:

AND to top it all, NO steering wheel - a pair of vice grips instead :o :o

Bloody hell ....
