Overloading

Hi all,

Just about to head to the quarry but didn't bring a trailer. Can anyone suggest a maximum load a landcruiser can take without causing damage to the suspension? I'm planning on loading up 5 25 kg sand bags and 12 8-10 kg stones so that is a possible 250 kg load maybe more. I'm driving a van J120.

How far is the drive and how likely are you to be pulled over? Doesnt sound like a massive amount.

3 men likely weigh more , ballache but just put the heaviest stuff as far forward as you can .

It's going to be 30 to 40 minute drive but the first part of it will be on a bumpy road. I don't suspect I'll be pulled over on the way and I doubt the Gauds will be to concerned ether way. I'm mainly worried about straining the suspension, mind the whole lot needs replacing, every year the test gets me on a suspension part.

Job done, I weighed in at the bridge 2400 kg. It handled fine but I wouldn't want to be doing that too many times. Dont know why the image flipped on its side.
