Sorry to be a pain but I have now seen several mentions of the Pin 7 mod
to enable the centre diff to be engaged in high range.
Would someone mind explaining how to do this mod, or point me in the
right direction tom get the information.
Many thanks.

Look on the tech pages of the sleeoffroad.com site - follow the instructions there, EXCEPT the ECU is behind a silver ECU behind the kick panel on the UK drivers side.

That seems pretty straightforward... but...
If this mod is done, how is the centre lock engaged?

Hi Peter,
The pin 7 mod just prevents the automatic engagement of centre diff lock
when in low range.
Then you need an extra switch to fit to your dashboard to allow manual
control of the centre diff. It's a genuine Toyota part, and the wiring
for it is already in your dash, you just have to buy the switch, remove
the dash front and fit it.
Have a look at mine next time I see you Peter.
Jon.

Hi Jon
Thanks, I thought it must be something like that. What is the Toyota
part number for the switch?
Addictive this LandCruiser modding business isn't it? I have never
looked into this before because my LC has always just been a daily drive
/ work and apart from normal servicing & repairs I've never looked into
anything else.
Hmmm........
I feel even more strain on the wallet coming on.!! :-(

For mine the part no. is 84725-60010 : SWITCH, CENTER DIFFERENTIAL LOCK
Should be the same for all of them.
You should try running two of them, 2" lift and 35" tyres about to go on
the one you haven't seen, Steph keeps complaining she's too low down and
white van man hasn't been giving her enough respect recently ...

Peter,
I have done this mod and be carefull with the switch, there are
two types. The first is for the old style dash, where the switch
mounts on the curve on the dash. The second is for the straight dash
and the switch is straight. I think about 94/5 was the changeover.
There are two part no's.
Regards, Clive.
