Pinion nut Torque? '89 60 Series rear diff

The nut came loose... I've re-tightened it, all seams ok but would love your experienced input re: specific Torque, using locknut and applying a cold chisel to the nut where it aligns with the groove in the spline.

According to my Haynes manual the drive pinion nut torque should be:
245-441 Nm / 181-325 ft-lbs
