I will always give you a chance because I know how valuable greenlaning
is
for us diesel- and petrol-heads - sorry if you feel that some of us were
over-reacting, I don't think I was - if you recall, I said that you have
a
point, see one of my earlier emails. I don't want to cause any angst,
and
I'm sorry that you feel this way. I work with BORDA and the Scottish
Offroad
groups so I know where you're coming from.
The day out is not really (I don't perceive it) a protest. I think
choice
of words should have been better!
However, I just also want to add that I'm involved (for my sins) with
environmental and conservation groups in North Africa, I know the
terrain is
very different, but the same issues are mirrored all over. I've worked
overseas too, so I know what you have to do to maintain any kind of
homoeostatis - I'm with you Ray, and we are all aware that we have to
tread
lightly. Hope this allays your reservations.
Kindest regards
Renate

Well what can I say .all I asked was for giving us a chance which is
only a month to go?
I was not dictating I was asking and I even said please`.
Well Pete many people in GLASS /CRAG /TRF & many others still want to
try and save what's left and they have not given up like some ,don't
knock them for trying eh.

No mate.
We are working on a lane repair in the same county (Powys) this weekend
to get the TRO lifted. Some 150 tonne I think being shifted with diggers
and unimogs ect and many many hands from all user groups funded by the
CC
So people who don't and do care anymore can still drive it.
Oh yes this will be the first TRO lifted by Powys .so it is a milestone
achievements in its self. This has taken two years of hard work to get
this far.
And obviously with all the many many years of hard work the GR has done
there will be even more things happening soon I hope?
Have a look at the web site if you want to know any more info
.www.crag-uk.org
But if you ever want a chat or meet Renate just let me know
Ray
