Putty used up the sides of 70 series windscreen frame.

Hi all.

I've just bought a replacement windscreen frame for my 75 series. Clearly I need to put putty up the sided as the frame is just spot welded there. It's also clear as to why the frames rust out looking at the cracked putty on my original rusted out frame.
What putty should I use?
