Thanks for the reply to this, I was begining to think that maybe I did
something wrong and it didn't go through to the list
On Ebay there is one that is ?70 and portable, Ican't give you the page etc
because I can't get the tinyurl thingy to work for me and I dont want to go
up the ranks as being the worster offender on the list as my younger fella
would say. I have sent this guy questions about it and he has been able to
answer them. Its a passive device and there for can't be detected and has a
range of 3 miles. See its not that I will be speeding going through the UK
more like the opposit. But I have heard of all the cameras in the UK and for
a lack of thought or being distracted by something either the kids in the
back or looking briefly at something on the outside. The GPS are too
expensive for me at the moment because I wnat to do other things first. The
Cruiser will be left in to have the lights seen to on Tuesday so I will let
you know the out come other than my lighter pockets. Have my posts come out
different on your side since I started using creat mail instead of what I
was doing.

The only negative comment I've seen about portable radar detectors that run off internal batteries is that, to save battery life, they turn themselves on/off all the time. So if you approach a camera in the "off" time then you may get done. But if it has a good range or, better still, a plug to power it off the cigarette lighter, you should be OK at sub-warp speeds.

Well they are coming out in "raw" (ascii) text mode, which will make Julian happy as it saves bandwidth. I'm curious to hear the end of the lights story.
