Guys unfortunately after waiting for months then weeks for the container to arrive from Flatdog been let down by buying the howling moon 270 deg awning I had my heart set on in the last minute..

As a second choice I'm considering the new Batwing version from Rhino Rack but after much research cannot find a supplier in Europe.

Any help would be appreciated .....thanks

i like it.
one of the main issues i found with the fox wing is the poles that you have to carry seperate. looks like they have that part sorted. looks like a nice product.

It will still have the same issues as the Foxwing, it will take off in the wind until you get it pegged down, unlike the ostrich wing that just sits there on it's own

Yes for Cyprus David this is fine for me. I'm looking at Batwing now as its lighter I think from then howling moon model. Better for me as I'm using roof rails to attach it to.

Guys the Ostrich looks good just way out of my price range unfortunately. Another reason I’m liking the batwing now is that it is lighter to place on the roof rails I’ve purchased from front runner and does include the brackets to fit.

Sent many emails of enquiry hoping something comes back positive.

Guys as some of you may know I’ve finally received the Batwing awning. In the undamaged packaging the cover was predamagaed and so been promised a new cover at some point thankfully.

Hi Guys having had the batwing for a month of usage I can give you a quick update on my review and details to where I bought it from.

A new cover has been ordered under warranty and Louise messaged today saying they will post it soon thankfully.

So far been impressed with ease use and functionality is amazing. Being my first experience and a novice I can say its simple to use, open and pack away. I love the magnetic stick to where the poles hold up whilst unpacking and packing making an one man operation extremely simple. Also the legs built in are wonderful to use with also the bag of ties and hooks also very usual enclosed in the setup being nice and tidy. Very well thought out and I really couldn't find a issue in using. Windy conditions were also no issue having out extra ties downs so packing up only takes 5 mins if that tbh.

Any questions be happy to help.

thanks

Guys by my own making and not pinning the poles down a sudden wind took upon the awning and whoosh up it went in an alarming rate.

Sadly and well designed fixture where the poles rotate from one plastic connector broke snapped and had change over today with one of the 2 spares given thankfully.

A valuable lesson learnt and grateful this was the extent of the damage only.
