My Collie is riding on Toyo AT tyres ( 265 70R16) now at the normal unladen pressure. The previous owner had the tyres blown up to 55psi for some reason ( it was a bloody harsh ride) , I seem to remember that he also mentioned that he had fitted HD rear springs.
The distance between the top of the rear tyre and the wheel arch is 160mm and was wondering if this is about right for this size tyre at normal pressure, or were the HD springs raising it a bit. Anyone know?

I'll go out in a while and check mine.. it sounds slightly higher than mine is my gut instinct, but I'm on stock springs - the originals in fact. Just have a clingy toddler asleep on my arm currently

Measuring 155mm on both sides. 265/70/16 mild A/T tyre at 34psi.

Or my standard springs having sprung for 18 years and a bazillion miles...
